Dear GLF 2021 participant,
Jambos and special greetings to you and your families. The Virtual Global Learning Festival is closing in; less than two weeks and we will finally meet each other.
You, or your teamleader, has received per email the following: a complete process outline for the GLF which includes several links for your prior sign ups for which we request that you sign up by 27 September 2021. This will assist the planning team to ensure balance in all processes, especially the SALT visits. The sign-ups include:
- SALT visits for Saturday 2 October, Morning and afternoon.
- Repeat sessions from the first day Session: GLF1A and GLF2A
- All session zoom links will be shared at the appropriate time next week.
In preparation for the Opening Session, we request that you and your team explore what expectations and hopes you have for the event in line with the theme for this year’s learning festival; – and what strengths you feel you will contribute to this year’s GLF in line with the theme of the festival. It might also be worthwhile as a team to look through the Market Place experience 3 October, and decide where you would like to visit across that day for your own learning, sharing and ascertaining that your expectations are met. At the end of each day, we encourage SALT teams to debrief and capture their applicable lessons learnt to be shared during the closing ceremony. Each SALT team will have one to three minutes to show as an image/collage or comment lessons they have learnt and how they plan to apply them. Individual applicants will also have the opportunity to reflect.
