“Why are local responses to global issues important?”

Screening of ‘One of Us’

The Who’s in Town event series of the Amsterdam University College invited The Constellation to an online film screening and discussion.

The Constellation will be screening their latest film ‘One of Us’, a 35-minute documentary focused on a community’s response to HIV/AIDS in Northern Thailand. When Khun Tiw finds out she has HIV/AIDS, her world falls apart. The doctor helps her to overcome self-stigma when he encourages her to speak out, sparking a community response to the disease. In the end, it takes a community to heal a person. In this event, we will screen this inspiring story followed by a panel discussion with key speakers discussing important questions.
